The Record Setting Fifa 10 League Game

Responding to feedback from consumers of the more than 275 million games played, FIFA 10 further refines a success. The award winning Fifa 10 league game was released in 2009. In its first three weeks of sale in the UK alone, over one million games were sold. FIFA 10 became a record breaking game. Since then it has been winning audience approval and awards. Averaging more than 3 million online games played daily, the FIFA 10 game was the most competitive virtual sport in the world in the year of its release. FIFA 10 boasting a many improvements to its core gameplay and other modes and features has been an understandable best seller.

The FIFA 10 league game is the 17th in the video games series released by Electronic Arts. It boasts 41 national teams, 31 leagues and more than 500 teams. A new addition is the Russian Premier League, however, it is not featured in the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions. The Netherlands national team is included in this game for the first time. Due to the changes within the FIFA League, 46 teams were not included in the previous title, including 25 that have not been included in any earlier FIFA game. In this title there has been much improvement in what players can do on the field. The FIFA series of video games feature association football and was first released in 1993. A new title is rolled out in the Fall of each year. Each new addition has improved features and modifications in some respect from prior releases. They are the first officially licensed by FIFA, association footballs governing body. The use of real clubs, leagues and player likenesses brings more realism to these games. These video games are available in 51 countries and 18 languages. They are a global product for a global game. Each new recent series installment has been a record setter. The newly released FIFA 11 is the fastest selling sports game ever sold within a week of release. These FIFA video game series come in different modes and are complemented by additional installments for tournaments and regional league titles.

The Ultimate Team and the Manager Mode

This mode is a significant improvement on the 09 version. It is only for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It allows for the building of teams by users. There has been a substantial increase in the number of leagues and players from whose characteristics this custom made team can be built. There is now improved flexibility for gamers who previously were limited by the unavailability of certain players.

Users will have more opportunity with this new improvement to build playing chemistry. In each formation the variable links allow for greater flexibility in building chemistry. Also, instead of being able to create just one team, now users can develop fifteen. FIFA tournaments also are bigger factors in this version.

There are over 50 major improvements made to Manager Mode. There is more realism as you create your own world of football. The new financial system features club funds and player values that are more in keeping with the real world. A new formula has been implemented that makes players more expensive depending on which club they play at. Managers also have to satisfy club board of directors. The difficulty depends on which club individuals want to manage. This means in some cases it is easier to get fired, with managers on a shorter leash with some boards. Scouting has been more difficult as well. People should know that there will be no Manager Mode in FIFA 11. FIFA 11 will instead have the Career Mode. Now FIFA gamers can play through a footballers career through the different career stages of player, player manager and then manager.

The Virtual Pro option

This new feature gives gamers the opportunity to put themselves into the game. By uploading a picture of themselves on the EA website and downloading the saved image in FIFA 10, they create a custom player. The player can develop attributes and if the stats are improved enough, the player can even participate in the Pro Club Championship. Basically, this feature allows for the creation of a Pro who can be used in every mode of the game. This mode is an improvement from earlier parts of the series. In the past you could create a player for use in Be a Pro or online club games, but could not use him in other modes. The Pro you create can improve stats in any of the modes you desire and can carry them over to another mode. Be aware that the character attributes scale to the physical attributes of the player. A shorter player will not be as physically challenging as a taller one, who will in turn lose speed with more inches. Faces of the creation can be changed any time. Players can also add attributes and make the player more realistic and unique. Generally in this version the improvements do not tinker with the basic FIFA template. But, authenticity has been realized more in this version. It builds on the EA tradition of improving on earlier renditions. Its enhancements deliver greater realism and sets the standard for simulation of the real game.
